Ribbon Cutting Ceremony Celebrates Completion of $78M Water Treatment Plant Expansion Project
- October 2, 2025 | Category: Ongoing Projects, Your Water
On Wednesday, October 1, 2025, Medford Water hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony to mark the completion of the expansion of the Robert A. Duff Water Treatment Plant. This project increased the plant’s capacity to produce drinking water from 45 to 65 million gallons per day (MGD), as well as complete conveyance improvements necessary to deliver the 65 MGD into our system.
The ceremony brought together Medford Water staff, members of the Board of Water Commissioners and Medford City Council, officials of our Partner Cities and agencies, as well as members of the project construction, engineering, and design teams.
This $78 million dollar expansion represents a critical infrastructure investment, strengthening the resiliency and flexibility of our drinking water system. It reflects our ongoing commitment to providing reliable, high-quality drinking water to the communities we serve, and positions us to meet the Rogue Valley’s water needs for decades to come.
