Double Win for Safety: Employee Safety Champion and Safety Committee Honored

Congratulations to Medford Water’s Tony Thompson and the entire Safety Committee!
Tony—the lead at our Robert A. Duff Water Treatment Plant—was awarded the Safety Committee Champion Award at the American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP) Southern Oregon Occupational Safety & Health Conference this week. The award recognizes a safety committee member that is a true champion in their organization, going above and beyond the minimum requirements to keep their coworkers safe.
The Safety Committee was also awarded the Frank J. Bertak Award for Safety Committee Recognition, identifying safety committees, members, and activities that have made a significant contribution toward the organization’s overall success. Our safety committee’s hard work has earned them this award several times over the years.
