Medford Water Project Wins Engineering Award for Water Treatment Plant Expansion

Medford Water is proud to announce that our project to expand the Robert A. Duff Water Treatment Plant to 65 million gallons per day has won a 2026 Honor Award from the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC). This prestigious award recognizes projects that demonstrate engineering excellence through innovation, complexity, and public value.

The $78 million dollar Robert A. Duff Water Treatment Plant Expansion Project, completed in September 2025, increased the plant’s capacity to produce drinking water from 45 to 65 million gallons per day, as well as the improvements necessary to deliver the 65 MGD into our system. It represents a critical infrastructure investment, strengthening the resilience and flexibility of our drinking water system. Our mission is to continue to provide reliable, high-quality drinking water to the communities we serve, and this project helps positions us to meet the Rogue Valley’s water needs for decades to come.

We are honored by this award, and commend the construction team at Slayden Constructors, Inc., the engineering team at Jacobs, and all the design and internal teams for their dedication and hard work. Learn more about the project on our Project Page, and more about ACEC at their website.
