Save the Date: October 10th is Imagine a Day Without Water
Most Americans take water for granted. They turn on the tap, clean water flows out...flush the toilet, and dirty water goes away. They hardly think twice about the infrastructure that brings water to their homes, and safely returns water to our environment – but they should. The reality is, our water infrastructure is aging and failing.
A single nationwide day without water service would put $43.5 billion in economic activity at risk and would make it impossible for doctors, firefighters, and farmers to serve our communities.
Medford Water Commission will join hundreds of elected officials, water utilities, community leaders, and businesses nationwide participating in the fourth annual Imagine a Day Without Water on October 10th, a day of awareness about the value of water.
Led by the Value of Water Campaign, its goal is to educate and inspire the nation on the crucial need for investment in our nation’s water infrastructure, to ensure that no American community is left without safe and reliable water.
