Distinguished Budget Presentation Award
Medford Water Commission has earned the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award from Government Finance Officers Association of the United Stated and Canada (GFOA) for its annual budget. This award is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental budgeting.
Over 1600 governments across the United States and Canada, including states, cities, counties, special districts, school districts, and others have been recognized for transparency in budgeting. To earn recognition, budget documents must meet program criteria and excel as a policy document, financial plan, operations guide, and communication tool.

Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting
The Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting has been awarded to Medford Water Commission by Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) for its comprehensive annual financial report (CAFR). The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting, and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by an organization and its management. The Commission’s CAFR has been judged by an impartial panel to meet the high standards of the program, which includes demonstrating a constructive “spirit of full disclosure” to clearly communicate its financial story and motivate potential users and user groups to read the report.

Best Tasting Water in Southern Oregon
Medford Water Commission has been awarded Best Tasting Water in Southern Oregon in a competition held by the Southern Oregon Subsection of the American Water Works Association's Pacific Northwest Section. Members of the subsection represent utilities ranging from small community water systems to systems serving over 100,000 users in Coos, Curry, Douglas, Jackson, Josephine, Klamath, and Lake Counties.
Entries are judged by a panel of volunteers and ranked on criteria set by the American Water Works Association.
This award makes our organization eligible to compete in a region-wide competition, which includes participating water utilities from Oregon, Washington, and Idaho, and continues a tradition of providing drinking water of the highest quality to our customers.
