The affected area is limited to these 56 addresses ONLY. If these bacteria are present, they could make you sick, and are a particular concern for people with weakened immune systems.

If you are in the specified area, do not drink the water without boiling it first.

Customers should bring water to a rolling boil for 1 full minute, allow the water to cool before using, and store the cooled water in a clean container with a cover. Customers should use boiled water that has cooled or bottled water for:

• Drinking                                         • Preparing food and baby formula
• Brushing teeth                                • Making ice
• Washing fruits and vegetables          • Cleaning food contact surfaces

We will inform you when tests show no bacteria and you no longer need to boil your water. Staff is working as quickly and efficiently as possible, but it may be as long as 24-36 hours before test results are available.

This boil water advisory is a precaution. To limit risk to health, customers should follow the instructions contained in this advisory.

WATER MAIN BREAK

Medford Water Commission crews responded to a water main break in the area of Corona Avenue and Grand Avenue that occurred today. Water service will be disrupted from approximately 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, January 14th during the emergency repair.

WHEN: Approximately 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, January 14th, 2019

WHERE: A portion of Corona Avenue, between Grand Avenue and Johnson Street (see map below)

IMPACTS: Water pressure will be impacted and street access in the immediate area will also be limited.

Affected customers should still have running water. They can let their inside cold water faucets run for several minutes after service is restored to full pressure, to clear any dislodged particles or air in the pipeline. As always, we attempt to minimize the inconvenience related to pipeline shutdowns, and sincerely appreciate the patience of impacted customers.

If customers notice any issues with their water service following the repair, please notify us.

CONTACT: Water Maintenance Supervisor Brian Davidson at 541-774-2675, or our customer service staff at 541-774-2430. We will also provide updates on our website as they become available or necessary.
