NOTICE: Water Service Interruption - Grape St., Fir St. & Barnett Rd.
Medford Water Commission crews are responding to water main breaks in the area of Melrose Avenue and Monroe Street that occurred as the result of a fire hydrant being hit by a motor vehicle.
Water service for a portion of Grape Street, Fir Street, and Barnett Road will be interrupted as repairs are made. Affected customers will be notified.
WHEN: Today, Friday, December 14, 2018; Water is estimated to be restored by 10:30 p.m. to midnight, Friday, December 14, 2018.
WHERE: The following addresses are affected (see map below) -
619 S. Grape St.
619 S. Fir St.
691 S. Fir St.
711 S. Fir St.
721 S. Fir St.
741 S. Fir St.
763 S. Fir St.
753 S. Grape St.
801 S. Grape St.
2 W. Barnett Rd.
IMPACTS: Water service will be out and street access in the immediate area may also be impacted.
Affected customers can let their inside cold water faucets run for several minutes after service is restored, to clear any dislodged particles or air in the pipeline. As always, we attempt to minimize the inconvenience related to pipeline shutdowns, and sincerely appreciate the patience of impacted customers.
