Prescription Drug Take Back Day - Oct 27th
National Prescription Drug Take Back Day is Saturday, October 27th, 2018.
Improper disposal of unused medications is a major threat to water quality. Medications that are flushed down the toilet or thrown in the trash can make it's way to our rivers and harm acquatic life and our community. It can lead to accidental poisoning, misuse, and overdose.
Help us avoid contamination of Oregon's waterways. On October 27th, we encourage you to bring your unused or unwanted medications to a local law enforcement agency.
The following items are NOT accepted: Needles (sharps), thermometers, bloody or infectious waste, medications from businesses/clinics/pharmacies/hospitals, hydrogen peroxide, aerosol cans and inhalers.
