Medford Water Commission - PUBLIC NOTICE: Proposed Exemption From Competitive Solicitation - Water Rights Evaluation Coordination Services

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Medford Water Commission (Commission) will consider an exemption from competitive solicitation pursuant to the Commission’s Contracting and Purchasing Regulations, Section 2.32 – Sole Source Procurement at the regular meeting of Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at 12:15 p.m.

The Commission will consider awarding a contract to the Watershed Systems Consulting (WSC) for WISE Water Rights Evaluation Coordination Services. Findings in support of the exemption from competitive bidding consist of the following: WSC is the current coordinator already under contract with the WISE Project through Talent Irrigation District; the services being provided by this contract are additional to WSC’s current contract; WSC has the technical expertise, knowledge of WISE Project and partners; it is unlikely that the exemption will encourage favoritism or substantially diminish competition for personal services contracts; and awarding this contract is expected to result in cost savings and is otherwise in the public interest.
